Greetings
Greetings from the Finkbeiner 2002 International Reunion Committee:
This reunion will commemorate 250 years of Finkbeiner's (and all various surname spellings) in America, when Tobias and Conrad, our first American ancestors, came to America. We are going to the area they called home and we want everyone to join us. We want to make sure you all know that this is for ALL Finkbeiner's, not just descendants of Tobias and Conrad. We hope that you will celebrate our longevity in North America with us as a family.
Place Vicinity of Trappe, PA, USA (near Philadelphia)
Date June 2002 (actual dates to be announced)
The area
There is much to do in this area. You will be within 1-3 hours of Amish country, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, Valley Forge, Atlantic City, New York City, and Washington, DC to name a few. We also want to offer tours of local historic sites (old churches, cemeteries) where our ancestors lived and worshipped, and historical societies for those who wish to research.
About the planning
The Philadelphia area is very busy and expensive, so it is recommended that we get a "head count" as quickly as possible. The sooner we get a head count, the more you save!
