Arrive this morning in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Transfer to your hotel where the balance of the day is at leisure.

Morning sightseeing among the cobbled lanes, gabled mansions and old squares criss-crossed by bright yellow tram cars. Pass by Rembrandt's house, marked by the red flag of Amsterdam, the Tower of Tears, old Jewish quarter, Weigh bridge and Royal Palace. A canal cruise will take you through a spider web of waterways. While gliding through the old center of the city and into the busy harbor, see the merchant's mansions, churches and warehouses dating from the 17th century. Return to your hotel where the balance of the day will be at leisure.

Today you cross the border into Germany and then continue to Cologne located on the Rhine River. Visit the awesome gothic cathedral, the largest edifice in the world, with its soaring spires, spectacular golden shrine to the Magi and magnificent stained glasses.
Tuesday, June 15 Continue this morning to St. Goarshausen where you board your Rhine steamer for a 3 hours cruise to Mainz.

Pass the famous Lorelei Rock where, according to the folklore, beautiful mermaids once lived and view the picturesque Odenwald Hills.

Disembark and continue to Heidelberg, the oldest University town in Germany and home of the Student Prince. View the medieval Town Hall and the University, founded in 1386. Cross the Neckar River and drive to the ancient castle high above the city and river. Overnight in the Heidelberg area.

Your first stop today will be in Rothenburg, Germany's best preserved medieval town. Rothenburg's ramparts, cobbled roads and high gabled houses invoke the romance of the Middle Ages. The battle-scarred walls that encircle the town still protect St. Jacobskirch, with its altar carving by Tilman Riemenschneider. Drive to Nordlingen, a traditional village where the watch man's call echoing through the night still reassure the villagers. Travel south on the Romantic Road through fairy tale towns surrounded by moats, gates and tower. Admire the landscape dotted with lovely church spires standing since the Middle Ages as you continue to Munich.
Thursday, June 17 This morning visit Munich. Drive via Karolinenplatz with the Obelisk to the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1972 Olympics. Proceed past the 1000 foot high Television Tower to Nymphenburg, the formal Royal Residence. Then on to Odeon Square with beautiful Theatiner Church and the Halls of Generals. Your afternoon is at leisure for shopping or exploring on your own.
Monday, June 21 Today you travel over the border to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, an independent sovereign state with a constitutional monarchy. Upon arrival enjoy panoramic tour of Luxembourg which is basically divided into two sections. In the North the uplands of the Ardennen, a billy and scenically beautiful region in the South, the Good Land mainly rolling farmlands and woods bordered on the East by the lovely grape growing Valley of the Moselle.
Tuesday, June 22 Cross over the border today into Belgium and continue to Brussels, considered to be the "heart" of Europe. A short tour of Brussels will show you the Grand Place, St. Michael's Cathedral, the Town Hall and Mannecken Pis, amongst other sights, before driving on to Paris.

Your morning city tour of Paris begins with a drive past many of the famous landmarks recognized throughout the world such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysees, Napoleons Great Arc the Triomphe, Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower.
Depart this afternoon via the Forest St. Cloud to the beautiful Palace of Versailles, built by Louis XIV. Visit the apartments, Gallery of Mirrors, the Royal Chapel and the impeccably groomed formal gardens before returning to Paris where the afternoon is at leisure with your driver and motor coach at the groups disposal for sightseeing in and around the city.
Thursday June 24 Transfer to Paris airport this morning in time for departure back to Detroit, arriving the same day.
