Join the group at Toronto's Pearson International airport at the Lufthansa German Airlines Counter in terminal # 2 and check in for your flight. 9:10pm depart on Lufthansa # 475 for your overnight flight to Germany. Dinner served during your flight.
Breakfast served during your flight. 10:40am arrival in Frankfurt then collect your luggage and clear customs. 11:30am meet your driver and escort from Klumpp Motor Coach Company.
The castle of Heidelberg
Transfer to Heidelberg and stop for a 3-hour visit then continue your transfer. Late afternoon arrival in Baiersbronn at the Hotel Rose where you will be welcomed by a Finkbeiner delegation. Check in at the Hotel Rose where you will be accommodated for 8 nights. Dinner at the hotel. Retire early after your long journey.
Please note Brigitte Finkbeiner has graciously agreed to escort this group for the duration of the tour. Either Brigitte or Gunter Finkbeiner will meet you in Frankfurt. Brigitte will be accommodated with our group at the Hotel Rose.
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart with Brigitte on a walking tour of Baiersbronn to include a visit of Hauff Musuem (fairy tales) then visit the town hall. Take time to purchase lunch at one of the many choices of restaurants with choices such as German, Turkish and Italian or if you prefer there are also fast food outlets. Motor coach transfer to Freudenstadt, where Mr. Hertel will give a tour of the town. Continue on to Dornstetten, Dr. Wein will give a tour of the picturesque old town with its historic buildings. Return to Baiersbronn for dinner at your hotel. Meet at the information centre Rosenplatz for registration.
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart on your coach for a full day trip to Strasbourg, France. Meet your guide and enjoy a 2 hour guided coach tour of Strasbourg to include a visit to the Cathedral, a gem of European architecture from the Middle Ages. Afternoon at your leisure to explore and shop or perhaps visit the church where Albert Schweitzer preached and played the organ. Return to Baiersbronn in time for late dinner at your hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart on your motor coach for a full day trip to the beautiful Black Forest. A stop will be made in the Titisee in the Black Forest. On your return, a stop will be made in the historic University town of Freiburg. Dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant.
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart on your coach for Kempten, where you will be met by the mayor and learn something of the Finkbeiner history in the area. Continue on to Meersburg. Afternoon cruise on Lake Constance. Dinner. Evening return to your hotel in Baiersbronn.
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart on your motor coach for the spa town of Baden-Baden. Afternoon at your leisure to enjoy sightseeing on your own: suggestions will be and information will be provided for some optional activities such as a visit to the thermal springs for a thermal bath - indulge in the "Roman-Irish" bath program at the historical Friedrichsbad or bask in the modern amenities of the light-flooded Caracalla-Therme Farewell dinner.
Breakfast at your hotel followed by check-out. Meet in the lobby for your motor coach transfer to Frankfurt International Airport. 2:00pm check in at the Lufthansa German Airlines counter. 5:00pm depart on Lufthansa # 474 - non-stop flight from Frankfurt to Toronto. 7:15pm arrive at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Collect your luggage and clear customs. Welcome back to Canada!
