Description Both photos were taken appoximately in the late 1800's. Emanuel Finkenbinder was born 13 Oct 1847 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA, son of David and Louisa (Throne) Finkenbinder. On 29 Dec 1874 Emanuel and Julia Ann Culbertson were married in Babbs Grove, Stephenson County, Illinois. They had six children: David Allen, William Amos, Martin Luther (my great-grandfather), Louisa May, Mary Adeline, and Emma Belle. Emanuel owned and operated a thrashing operation and a valuable farm in Wards Grove Township, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
Emanuel Finkenbinder is son of David Finkenbinder, who is son of George Finkenbinder, who is son of Johannes Martin Finkbeiner, who is son of Tobias Finkbeiner who emigrated to America.
