The village of Roet originates in the valley and spreads to the west, up to the edge of the forest of the Silberberg. Schoenegruend is situated on a small sunny plateau.

| The red beam illustrates the Name of the Village, and probably has its origin in a geological formulation (Rot-liegenden). The fir cones represent an abundance of wood.
